I am a Research Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
My current research focuses specifically on multilevel determinants of mental health, sleep, and cardiovascular health among disenfranchised families (specifically Black immigrants and Hispanics/Latinos) and the development of culturally tailored mind-body medicines.
I am the founder of the International Africana Psychology Festival (FESA) and Atizan Wellbeing, LLC
I am also the co-author of the collective book: Pensee afro-caribeenne et (psycho)traumatismes de l'esclavage et de la colonisation (Afro-Caribbean thought and psychological traumas of slavery and colonization).
